Vote for the garden!

Calling all Phoenix residents...you NEED to vote for this project. Pepsi is holding the Pepsi Refresh Project for Neighborhoods and the Melrose Curve Community has submitted a project to create a community garden along 7th avenue with 2d and 3d art (currently under the lotto billboard). If the project wins Melrose Curve Community will win a $250K grant...that would be huge. So go here and vote for this idea, once a day for the full month of May.

DIY Trellis

So when we moved we had this old mattress box spring that was sitting in our garage. After many months of it just sitting there we ripped everything off and reveled a pretty cool looking skeleton.

What did we do with that skeleton? My boyfriend had the grand idea to mount it to our block wall for a trellis. And now it is one of my favorite things about the yard!

I'm thinking...

About doing this wonderful DIY project found on Design*sponge. I have a bright kelly green bathroom and I think this would look lovely. And so easy!

How fun!

Check out these jewels by German designer Denise Julia Reytan. Her amazing talent to upcycle things into beautiful pieces of art is stunning. And if you look a little deeper into her background she seems like quite the world traveler, studying in Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, and Greece. How interesting!

Lovely placemat

I'm not a big placemats fan, however I think that this graphic one by Kathy Mellor is so beautiful. It is so frilly and fun, I think I'd love to have a print of it in my kitchen.

Purtty Paper

Have you heard of The Paper Nut? They make beautiful wedding invitations and letterpress cards. I am particularly in love with the giraffe card.

Sunday Brunch

Are you having a Sunday Brunch today? Or just relaxing? Or curing a hangover? You must try McClure's Spicy Bloodly Mary Mix. I tried some when at the Brooklyn Flea Market and I have to say the best mix I have EVER had.

Some of my other favorites things for bloody marys? Add in some green olive juice and garnish with peperoncini (I promise it's the best.)

Summary for awhile

Being we have been mia for a bit here is a list of fabulous things that we love.

Such wonderful and useful laptop bags by Portal. When I get one someday this might have to be my first accessory.

Lovely letterpress prints by onecanoetwo which their calendar this last years was one of my all time favorites. I came so close to buying it many times.

When I'm preggers...

Whenever that day comes I would love to have this cradle. I think it is absolutely beautiful. Seen on Design Mom, this Leander Cradle can suspend from the ceiling or hang from a stand. I think I prefer the stand version.

P.S . Congrats to our friends Aaron and Ginger who had Emma Olivia this morning. We are all very excited to meet her!

Put it on your calendars to go check out the First Pet Event at Blueberry Deluxe Boutique. Raffle proceeds and a percentage of the sales go towards supporting local organizations that help rescue pets. There will also be fun things going on like a pinup dogwash, petacures, kissing booth, facepainting and all sorts of animals. Sounds like fun!
