They sound like the most interesting couple..."Elijah & Rhonda Wyman have been working together on their art & music since their marriage back in 2004, the same year Rhonda graduated Rhode Island School of Design...Rhonda will make the more technical jewelry parts herself and Elijah is said to be the salesman of the pair." And Elijah makes music as well. I think I would love to meet them.

Figs & Ginger
Figs & Ginger, a husband and wife jewelry making team out of North Carolina make the most beautiful things. Everything is handmade and "much of their work is inspired by the simple beauty found in forests, both imaginary & real." How adorable! And it is environmentally responsible as everything is made from at least 50% recycled sterling silver. Below is my favorite piece.

This little piggy
I think the construction of this is fabulous and so so clever. Designed by Looksur, a collection of South American designers, this piggy bank is made from 100% recycled leather. It comes in a variety of vibrant colors and it empties in the most unusual way--"When your Piggy is full you can empty him through the back by pressing the rear flap inwards and then down until the leather hook unlatches below the tail. He will then be ready to fill up once again." I think pricing is available upon request but does anyone know where I can get one in the states?

Artecnica again
Artecnica has some beautiful products. They are all about taking the everyday and transforming its design into something that is uniquely art and leaves you wondering how did they do that? They have a program called Design w/ Conscience, founded in 2002, "to manufacture and produce products in accordance with humanitarian and environmentally friendly principles"
One of the products coming out of this program is tranSglass. This recycled line definately gives a sleek, modern and truly beautiful to recycled pieces. Each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind. I cannot wait to order my own someday.

Awesome bag
How awesome is this bag by Artecnica? Described on the site...."Made from 100% colorful advertising campaign billboards, a clever die cut, no glue, no stitch shoulder bag is Inspired by the strength and symmetry found in nature. The minimal 2-D design stretches into 3-D to form the biggest bag with the smallest amount of waste. Stretch Bag can support up to 33lbs. It's available in different colors of recycled billboard or in natural brown leather."
It sounds wonderfully clever. Also check out this video showing various colors and how it works. It looks like you cannot buy it straight from them yet, anyone know where I can get one?
