Old Chair = New Chair

I can cross off another project on my list! I found this adorable stool at a vintage store for $5. It was white with a maroon terry cloth cover...not cute but had potential.


I spray painted it to match my other outdoor furniture, re-padded it and covered it with this adorable vinyl covered cotton by Japanese designer Etsuko Furuya. I love it! Much less involved that my last re-upholster but just as adorable.

Finished chair!

I have finally finished my chair that I bought months ago at an antique store.
It sat forever in the corner of my apartment with no one sitting on because of its wear and tear and dirt. After much sanding, painting, sewing and gluing I am so happy with the outcome.

It is absolutley adorable and I love it! For a first upholstery job (and probably my last) it looks pretty darn good.

A project
