Gotta love these ceramics.

How lovely are these ceramics by Pigeon Toe Ceramics in Portland, Oregon? I saw them on Cool Hunting recenlty and instantly fell in love. And their into paragraph about them is just too cute I had to share...

"You know when you visit your local vintage shoppe hoping for that rare, once-in-a-lifetime find that you spend a lifetime searching for? Or perhaps when you take your first trip overseas, staring out of the airplane window seat at the vast ocean below you. Or your first boy/girl dance? That’s Pigeon Toe."

Rain, Rain, go away

I spotted this umbrella in a magazine and thought it was so fun! It reminds me of those hyper color shirts I had as a kid that changed with the temperature (yep I had one of those). On this particular item, found at the Moma Store, the paint blotches change color when they get wet. Love it!

Thoroughly Modern Millie

Millie is just the cutest in her Perfect Dressipe custom onesie or baby grow as they would say in the UK. She is my fiance's cousin's daughter and she lives in Edinburgh, Scotland. I can't wait to meet her for the first time at my wedding in Glasgow in July!

Time to measure.

How adorable are theses measuring sticks by Studio 1a.m. found by our friends at SeeSaw Design? They are so graphically appealing and are nothing like any other growth stick...maybe someday I'll have one.

I Heart This.

Weird but beautiful video by designer Vanessa Bruno to showcase her clothing.

Delicious!

1. How yummy does this Lottie + Doof pear sorbet sound? I think I must keep that recipe in mind for when it really starts heating up here in Phoenix.

And 2. Have you ever been to Sweet Revenge in NYC? I had the chance to go when last in the city and I have to say really AMAZING cupcakes! Plus wine and beer pairings to go with them, what more can you want? Seriously the best ones I have had...beats Sprinkles, Magnolia and any others I have tried...you must go there.

Maybe open a year, the shop began when the owner was let go from her corporate job in 2007. And now her wonderful shop has been seen on the likes of Marta Stewart. With cupcake names like Pure and Dirty, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Haunting Posters

Graphic designer Nick Tassone designed some wonderful, simple posters for some of Stephen King's movies. Love the clean designs, straightforwardness and eerie nature of them.

Playing games

How amazing is this life-size installation of Pacman? It is so clever and would be loads of fun for a weekend activity.

P.S. Color Me Katie is a great blog by a photographer in Brooklyn. Her photos are wonderful and more often than not infused with bright colors that I promise will make you happy.

My Philosophy

I think this quote found on Oh Joy Eats pretty much sums me up in a nutshell. Happy Monday!

Thirsty?

Spring is definitely here in Arizona which always makes me want to sip on lemonade or margaritas. And how fun would it be to have these sassy stainless steel straws from Brook Farm General Store.

Oh! How I must have!

These shoes someday. I'm thinking they would be perfect for a wedding day...probably only in my dreams as they come with a hefty price tag but they are simply fabulous. Divine. Beautiful. Girly. Etc. My ultimate fancy shoe and by none other than Christian Louboutin. The Lady Claude 120 Pumps are peep toe pumps made from pale gold leather and encrusted with iridescent Swarovski crystals. I'm drooling.

Blueberry Deluxe Boutique

We are excited to announce that you can now find Perfect Dressipe at Blueberry Deluxe Boutique in downtown Phoenix. The lovely owner, Jessica, and her adorable pug have welcomed us into their cute shop featuring a mix of vintage and local styles. We are very grateful and are looking forward to this new business partnership.

Make sure you check her out on this upcoming First Friday, April 2nd. They always have the fire dancers and at this next one there will be a pinup swimwear show (and maybe even some PHX DIY members) How fun does that sound??!!!

This poster....

Makes me like Phoenix even more. Why? I don't know but I think it is absolutely beautiful. Love the simple four colors and shapes used together to create this intriguing design. Hurry and check them out by The Heads of the State. The limited edition screen printed travel posters feature eight different American cities.

May I please have...

One of these amazing custom letters from Hindsvik. They make vintage inspired lettering from chipboard, raw natural wood grain, white or black. Where would I put a letter so large?

Martha!

Amanda and I got to see the Martha Stewart show while in New York this past week. It was so much fun! The guest was Dominic Famusa from Nurse Jackie on Showtime. He was so cute! We were in the second row, so we got to see everything close up. Martha is so cute as well, it was fun to see her live in person. It would be so much fun to do what Martha does each day. We also got front row seats to West Side Story through a lottery. We were very lucky. It was an amazing show and I would definitely recommend it. Especially for dance lovers like me.

It's here!!!

Tomorrow (Saturday) is the Melrose on 7th Street Fair. This particular event holds a special place in the heart of Perfect Dressipe as it was our very first event one year ago!!!! We have come along way since then and we'd love for you to come and see how we've changed. (And why not go on the pinata hunt?)

Don't forget to look for the PHX DIY sign as we will be with our crew there. Classic cars, food, music, rides, facepainting, shopping and so much more! How can you resist?

The best idea ever!

I think our world would be so much better if we did this. Think about it...you are driving down the road and instead of hitting a massive pothole and bouncing up and down you see beautiful, brightly colored flowers.

Amazing the difference that would make. Dear artist Pete Dungey, you changed my day. Thank you.

Um yes please!

If anyone every asked if I wanted this pendant lamp the answer would be yes! The detail is so intricate...it looks so pointy yet honeycomb-like. You can find it at West Elm.

Did you know?

That March is National Craft Month. 2010 is the 16th year that National Craft Month has been celebrated! (How awesome is that!) So make sure you get crafting or support your local crafters this month.
