Blogging Beauties

Recently, while searching for inspiration for my day job, I have become more enlightened to the world of fashion bloggers. Of course I have my staple favorite blogs that I go to everyday like Design Sponge and Design Mom, but now I have discovered new ones that I love! These ladies are very fashionable and try on looks and take photographs of them to share with the world via their blogs. Sterling Style has become my latest obsession. Taylor Sterling writes this fun blog. She is so adorable and has such a great sense of fashion. I have found out about so many new websites because of her. Also, she makes me want to be more of a fashion diva!

And then the other one that I love is Cupcakes and Cashmere. Emily out of LA writes this blog and again, she is super adorable and very fashionable. Its fun to feel like you are part of these ladies everyday life. So to Taylor and Emily...please be my friends! (wait did I say that out loud?)

They both make me want to make a living blogging and being fashionable. Enjoy!

Weird but amazing

There are so many really cool bordering on weird things out there. One of the ones I found...an eyelash typeface.

You read it correctly...a typeface created by Amitis Pahlevan out of false eyelashes. A completely different concept but I think the letters turned out beautiful.

Confetti makes me happy

Isn't confetti awesome? Think about all of the occasions you have been to with confetti and weren't they all just so much fun. Here is a modern twist on the pastime favorite decoration...confetti garland.

I cannot image how much time this takes but I want some. Maybe for a wedding? Check out the paper confetti garlands by Kristina Marie

or this Bauble (fun word) Garland by 3 Girls + A Goat (great name). What party would you use them for?

A nice touch to the morning

I have seen the cocoa heart in espressos or shamrocks in Guinness but the intensity of these stencils used for coffee and desserts make me smile. I don't even drink coffee and if someone handed me one of these I would go for it! Made by Megan Herbert from Iceland, you can buy them right here. I especially love the thumbprint detail on the handle.

Wrapping

Ever looking for better ways to wrap presents? Check out these adorable ways to wrap using fabric from Chewing the Cud. I love the book purse wrapping! You can find the book tutorial here and wrapping a round object here.

The Vig

Have you been to The Vig in Phoenix? A delightful bar with a bocce ball court, yummy bites and cocktails with names like Grapefruit Crush and Get Tang'd. I am going there this evening for a birthday party...wooohooo for Friday! What is your favorite happy hour spot?

The color orange

I am in love with this paint color. I think it needs to go somewhere in my house. Do you have a favorite color in your house?

RFRM Jewelry

Seen on Design Mom, I fell in love with the vintage inspired jewelry of RFRM. Handmade jewelry from Kim in Chicago, it has inspired me to take a trip to the bead store and create something similar. I am in love with this particular necklace.

P.S. Really loving the graphics and happy friday!

Fly London

While abroad I discovered the most adorable brand of shoes. FLY London has some amazingly fun footwear....and they were pretty comfortable. I am kicking myself for not purchasing the pair of shoes I tried on. (See below, but there were in bright, neon yellow)

A Scottish Wedding

Hello our beloved followers. We are back stateside from what was one of the best weddings ever! The venue was beautiful. The bride and groom were stunning. Food was delicious...and of course there were some Perfect Dressipe details that I must share with you. Melissa wanted a touch of handmade elements at her wedding so we embarked on a few things.

First we made her bouquet. A mixture of fabrics, textures and flower styles combined to make one of the most unique weddings bouquets I have ever seen.

Next up, hand-stitched felt table numbers in a variety of colors and patterns. We put these in quilt hoops and just leaned them against the center pieces. Everyone love them!

Melissa also got custom buttons made that not only acted as table placecards and nametags when people wore them, but will be something we will always have to remember this wonderful day.

Melissa also enlisted the help of our lovely friend at Space Cadet Jewelry to create her head piece. A combination of leather, feathers, beads, and vintage-esqe tulle for another one-of-a-kind detyail for her wedding. The tulle was removable so it was perfect for ceremony to reception!

Overall...a HUGE success and we wish Melissa and her new man all the happiness in the world.
