More curtains

Today's theme must be curtains. Check out this super easy and cheap curtain rod idea. Wooden dowels and drawer pulls!?!? I love it. So genius and simple.

DIY pipes

I love the idea of using plumbing pipes for other projects. Check out these awesome curtains. Some curtain rods our there are just plain heinous so when I stumbled upon this great idea I felt it was a bit of an "ah ah" moment.

What a cute idea!

I must do this for my next party. How fun are these face painted marshmallows? Seen on Color Me Katie, she explains how easy they are. All you need is food coloring and a paint brush! I cannot wait. And they make me happy.

Delicious looking

Has anyone ever been to the Shake Shack? I think it looks divine and the graphics are so cute. It is a little early in the day to be thinking about a burger and milkshake but hey I say sign me up. Too bad the locations are only on the East Coast, next time I'm in New York I will have to hit it up.

Wonderous Find

I have a slight obsession with "A" necklaces. I'm pretty sure I have mentioned this before. I currently own five and probably will not stop there. My next purchase? This initial necklace found on Etsy made from a letterpress "a". I love it so much I had to share with you right now. Yes, please hand me one of those.

Happy Friday

It's Friday. Wooohoooo. To celebrate I want to share the most fun band-aids ever! I think I might purposely get a paper cut just so I could wear them. Created by the lovely Cynthia Rowley.

New blogs

Do you need some new blogs to follow? Check out Darling Dexter. Whitney from Brooklyn is trained as a graphic designer, helps her family with the photography business and is starting her own fashion line. Needless to say her blog has lots of lovely thing on it.

How about follow studio? A graphics and paper studio out of Sydney.

I wish I was going on a trip...

And had the money to purchase one of these ADORABLE suitcases by SteamLine Luggage. The Editor Series is so colorful.

The Producer Series so sophisticated.

The Ambassador Series is to-die-for! Too bad there is a waiting list for all of them!

Inspirational

OMG! (I can't believe I just used that abbreviation but there are no other words to explain) Have you seen Jessica Hische?!?! She is a typographer and illustrater out of Brooklyn, NY. Her work is stunning, beautiful, awe-inspiring. The way she handles type is breath-taking. I only wish I had an ounce of her talent and the patience to draw like her. You must go check out all her work.

Stanley Ruiz

How beautiful is the work of Stanley Ruiz? I am in love with this clock from his RAW collection.

I also think the colored twigs are fun. I think I would color everyday if I had those. Ruiz is an industrial designer and media artist with an extensive background in craft design and production.

A few things to heart

This wallpapers cabinet seen on decor8. So fresh and clean. Makes me want to go home right now and organize.

These adorable bird bookmarks. Working at a design firm called Canary, I naturally love them.

And this lovely artwork by Jeremy Slagle.

I wish...

I wish I was at home sitting in my pool drinking sangria out of this delightful Jonathan Adler Whale Pitcher. Will someone please buy it for me?

Wishing and hoping...

I could have some of these playful plates from Anthropologie. Love how they are like paper plates yet are stoneware. Designed by Judy Jackson.

Hive Shelving

Hive shelving is lovely....adds a new twist to the typical bookshelf. I have seen quite a range out there from the exquisitely crafted at SUITE to some newer versions from CB2. Do you have some? If so I am jealous.

My Wedding Part 1 - Save the Date

This is Melissa here. I am so thrilled to finally share some images, graphic design, and projects for my wedding that was in Glasgow, Scotland. First up is my Save the Date I designed with help from my fellow Perfect Dressipier (?) Amanda! I wanted it to be whimsical and fun, to make people want to come to Scotland to share our special day with us. I printed them on Neenah Paper Sundance Cover in Ultra White felt finish paper and cut them each individually. I ordered recycled brown paper bag type envelopes from Action Envelope.

Everytime we go to Scotland, I love seeing the sheep and Highland coos. I resigned to putting them on the Save the Date, because my husband would not allow the real things at our wedding! Let me know what you think!

Suite Furniture

Have you seen some of the work by Suite New York? They have some pretty amazing pieces. One of my favorites is the leaf lounger. A very orgnaic form resembling a leaf. And then it comes with a pad that looks like one as well. So cute and I wish I could have them for my patio.

They also come in a chaise version.

Baby models

Oh its so fun to see our designs on little ones! And I do mean little. Kellan Jon is just 13 days old. He is sporting one of our bowtie onesies and looking handsomely dapper I might say!

And then there is little Liam. Liam is about 7 months old. He is sporting our blue bird onesie, tie onesie and a bowtie onesie. He is a total ladies man, but I know he loves his "da-da" lots! Check out our other designs for your little one here.

Land Carpet

I hope you have seen the Florian Pucher land carpet. If not I am so excited to introduce you. Area rugs that are hand crafted and designed with taking into account what you see out of an airplane. I would love to have one of these. I heart the Europe and Netherlands ones.

How amazing is this project in Rio de Janeiro. Seen on Oh Joy! and by Favela I HAD to share. It makes me want to go out and paint...and change the world.

A collection of modern concert posters and art prints, Poster Cabaret gathers them all in one spot for you. And makes is super easy to search or purchase. Oh what to buy?

Anzfer Farms

Have you seen them? A workshop out of San Francisco by two friends who make beautiful wood work pieces for the home.

Some of my favorites....these lovely light bulb thingy and I love the detail of this picnic bench, I'll have to keep that one in mind.

Delicious texture

Do you have any fabulous wall textures in your house? Office? Restaurant? Working in the environmental field I definitely take to anything that spruces up a space. Check out these wall panels by Anne Kyyro Quinn. The textures I showed are made out of 100% wool felt. I heart.

What an adorable stuffed animal

I have seen a few stuffed animals like this around inspired by renate muller. Not really sure where to buy one or how much they cost but I am in love. I have found a few here.

Take a look at this divine image. Tulip fields in Holland. Hope it makes your Monday a little bit better.
